A weekend off vanlife? Nope!

Following weeks of being out an about at the weekend, mostly with the van but also a weekend in London, it was time for a weekend at home… I know… Crazy right!? We had a wedding to attend on the Friday, so it seemed like a sensible thing to do.

But whilst at Beach Buggin’, we were talked into going to Endless Summer, another one day show, in Basingstoke this time. And we also got tempted by T Fest in Beaulieu…

In the end, we had a brilliant time at the wedding, which led to a pretty quiet Saturday for at least one of us. It turned out to be a bit of a blessing, because where we live, there is always lots and lots going on over summer. And this weekend it was the Kite Festival, as well as a Thai Festival. So I had a big walk around the seafront and really enjoyed the kites, and even got some shopping done for windsocks and camping flags…

We had planned to camp at West Meon on Saturday night, but decided against that in the end, and opted for an early night at home, followed by an early start to meet the South Coast Dubbers at Winchester Services for a convoy to Endless Summer in Basingstoke.

Endless Summer is a very well organised small show, with some nice stalls, good food, entertainment and things to do for kids. It was really nice to be out with the SCD crowd, and we had a lovely day in the sun.

We’ll see if we will have next weekend off vanlife…. It might be forced on us by the dreaded MOT… Wish us luck!
