A Norfolk Wedding
One of my oldest, and best friend was getting married last week in a beautiful country house in the North Norfolk countryside, and we were invited to come for the whole day.
Of course, for us this was just another great opportunity to take the van out! The wedding was on Wednesday, and Google told us it would take approximately 4 hours to get there, on a good day… We decided to set off on Tuesday, and it turned out to be very busy, making the whole trip last about 6 and a half hours. We arrived at a pitch black campsite, Breck Farm, just before 10pm and decided to just get parked up. It had been a very hot day in a van with no air-conditioning so a drink was in order.
It was a beautiful clear night, and as it was so dark we could see more stars than we’d ever seen before. It was a truly amazing sight!
The following morning was a quiet start and the hubster had arranged pancakes for breakfast! Soon it was time to get ready for the wedding, and head over to Voewood House. It was a very beautiful and quirky house, with lots of rooms, nooks and crannies, and beautiful gardens!
It was a sweltering hot day with beautiful sunshine, perfect for a lawn ceremony. The wedding day was a gorgeous day altogether, and for me, it was really lovely to catch up with so many old friends who I hadn’t seen for many years as we all moved to different places.
Congratulations again to Jo and Alan, wishing many years of health and happiness for their life together, and thank you both for a wonderful day!
